By now, Rohit Khandelwal has become more popular than he himself would have expected. Born and bought up in Hyderabad, India, Rohit Khandelwal is a popular television personality, actor and model, and has won the eminent title of Mr. World 2016 couple days ago. With that title, he becomes first Indian to become Mr. World. The pageant, held on July 19, 2016Southport, U.K., had 47 participants from around the world. Mr. Khandelwal won the competition with a cash prize of $50,000 along with the title Mr. World.
The 26-year-old handsome hunk who also competed for various subtitles at the pageant, including World Talent, Mobstar People’s Choice Award, and World Multimedia Award. He has previously won Mr. India title, which was held on 23 July 2015 at club royalty Mumbai, Maharashtra. By winning Mr. World title in Southport, he is not only the first Indian to win the title but also the first Asian.
The mantle was handed over from Mr. World 2014 Nicklas Pedersen to Rohit Khandelwal. The model-actor, who graduated from Aurora Degree College in Hyderabad, first worked as Spice-Jet ground staff, and then as technical support assistant at Dell. He also acted in a couple of TV soap operas; audiences remember him as Sreedhar from Pyar Tune Kya Kiya and Veer from Yeh Hai Aashiqui.
After winning the eminent title Mr. World, Khandelwal said,”I feel so privileged and humbled to be Mr. World 2016. I would like to thank all my fans and all the people who are giving me their blessings. It is only your love and support that has been my inspiration to win Mr. World. It has been an amazing journey to this point, and cannot wait to see what happens next”.
